Interactive Tools for Growers

Use these calculators and tools to optimize your cannabis cultivation. For growing advice, see Indoor Growing, Balcony Growing, or Growth Timeline. For plant health, try the Diagnosis Tool.

1. Nutrient Feeding Calculator

Malta-Adjusted Feeding Calculator

Calculate optimal nutrient amounts based on your plant size, growing medium, and Malta's water quality.

Your Customized Feeding Plan

Base nutrients: 2.5 ml/L
CalMag supplement: 1 ml/L
Water per session: 0.75 liters
Frequency: Every 2 days
Malta-specific note: Due to the high mineral content in Malta's tap water, reduce CalMag supplement by 50% if using untreated tap water.

2. Interactive Plant Life Viewer

Germination Stage (Days 1-7)

The first stage where the seed sprouts and develops its first embryonic leaves (cotyledons).

  • Duration: 1-7 days
  • Temperature: 21-27°C (70-80°F)
  • Humidity: 70-90%
  • Light: None until sprouted, then 18+ hours
Malta-specific tip: During summer months, place germinating seeds in a cooler area of your home. Malta's high summer temperatures can exceed optimal germination range without air conditioning.

Diagnosis: Nitrogen Deficiency

The yellowing of leaves starting from the bottom and moving upward is a classic sign of nitrogen deficiency. This is one of the most common nutrient issues.

Treatment:
  1. Apply a nitrogen-rich fertilizer according to the package instructions
  2. Ensure proper pH level (6.0-6.5 for soil, 5.5-6.0 for hydro/coco)
  3. Consider topdressing with worm castings for a slow-release nitrogen source
Malta-specific note: Malta's tap water is often highly alkaline (pH 8+). Always adjust your nutrient solution pH after adding nutrients, as the naturally high pH can lock out nitrogen even when it's present in your feeding solution.
